Mother's Day Appreciation Sweepstakes
As Mother's Day approaches I begin to think of all the fond memories I have of my mother. She has always been the backbone of our family through good and bad times. Everyone always seems to ask for her advice and counsel. After battling breast cancer a few years back we are blessed that she is still with us today. She is a fabulous grandmother to my daughter who loves her Nana so much!
I wanted to share a little about my mom with you because I have a new sweepstakes to tell you about and it ties into Mother's Day! It is for Mas Detergent. Mas detergent has been around for a while in places like Mexico, but this is the first time in the U.S. that Mas detergent will be available! You will be able to find it at a Walmart near you.
There are two varies:
Mas Color-it has ingredients that protect and renew colors in your laundry
Mas Oscurra-which is similar to the Mas Color but also works to protect darks and denim from fading in your washer (which sounds outstanding to me!)
The Mas Mother's Day Appreciation Sweepstakes is live! Mas Detergent wants to thank all the hard working, child loving, laundry washing moms out there by celebrating Hispanic Mother's day with a chance to win a grand prize of $1,000!

Rod Stewart's New Album Time
Do you have TIME for Rod Stewart? Well tomorrow May 7th, 2013 is the release of Rod Stewart's new album Time. This is his first album of new material in almost 20 years (and his hairstyle hasn't changed one bit!) This marks Stewart's long awaited return to his songwriting roots and features 12 tracks, 11 of which he wrote and produced!
Stewart said, "Suddenly ideas for lyrics were piling up in my head. Next thing I knew, I had a song called 'It's Over' about divorce separation. And now I was getting up in the middle of the night and scrambling for a pen to write things down, which has never happpened to me. I finished seven or eight songs very quickly and I still wasn't done, and it became apparent that I would eventually have a whole album of material to record."
I have always been a Rod Stewart fan. He still has that raspy sexy sound to his voice all these years later and with song titles like "Sexual Religion" and "Make Love to Me Tonight" Rod proves he has still got it!! The album has a good mix of slower and faster paced songs which I like. The song "She Makes Me Happy" is upbeat and sweet. It reminds me of my husband and I and how the right woman can make a man change his ways. "Its Over" has a great tempo even though it's a song about divorce and separation and many people will be able to relate to it! Time proves that Rod Stewart still rocks after all this TIME!
Time Track Listing:
1. She Makes Me Happy
2. Can’t Stop Me Now
3. It’s Over

NEW Soft Scrub Mold & Mildew Stain Remover Gel
My least favorite room to clean in the house is the bathroom and we have 3 so I'm always excited when I get to try a NEW product that helps me clean those areas. I recently got to try Soft Scrub Mold & Mildew Stain Remover Gel. I figured the best test I could put it to was in my master bathroom. We do not have grout in the shower/tub but the tub gets a ring around it whenever my husband uses it (he has a dirty job) so I knew this is where I would start. You can see the stains and dark ring toward the bottom.
I sprayed this area with the gel. It had a slight bleach smell but not as potent as some of the other bleach sprays I have used. The product went directly where I sprayed it. I waited a minute and them scrubbed with a shower brush. Wow!! You can tell the difference immediately.
I'm very pleased with this cleaner! It works well, it is quick and it took little effort on my part to get rid of the stains. Here are some key points you should know:
- No harsh fumes or overspray
- Spray gel that clings to stains
- cleans tile, grout, tubs and showers

I would like to give my fabulous readers a chance to win a coupon for a free Soft Scrub product so that they could try the new mold & mildew stain remover gel for themselves. This giveaway is open to U.S. residents 18 years and older. The winner will be notified via email.

Michael Bublé To Be Loved
Hi everyone! Have I told you lately that I adore Canadian crooners?? Well, not all of them, but I do love Michael Bublé! I was uber excited to hear he had a new album. The album is To Be Loved, out now, and finds the Grammy winner covering songs by Frank Sinatra, the Bee Gees, Jackson 5, Elvis Presley, Van Morrison, and more. In the mix of golden standards are four original songs co-written by Bublé, dipping into his persona.
These are good times for the singer, who is about to become a first-time dad. He sounds like a man in love with life. "I wrote Close Your Eyes about my wife and about the power of all the women in my life—my sisters, my mom, my grandma and all women in general. Let’s face it, where would we be without them?" said Bublé.
I have listened to the entire album. It swings big time: it rocks, it’s soulful, it’s happy, sometimes a little sad. It’s romantic, it’s yummy, and it’s heartfelt. I found there were many favorites from the great American songbook that people of all ages will know and sing along with. Every time a track played I would start singing along or remembering a special time in my life. My seven year old daughter even got into the act when the song from Toy Story, "You've Got a Friend in Me", came on. My favorite songs from the album are --- "You've Got a Friend in Me" and "Young at Heart". Michael's voice is unique, touching, and easy to listen to on all the tracks.
Here's the track list from To Be Loved:
1. "You Make Me Feel So Young"
3. "To Love Somebody"
4. "Who's Lovin You"
5. "Something Stupid" (featuring Reese Witherspoon)
6. "Come Dance with Me"
7. "Close Your Eyes"
8. "After All" (featuring Bryan Adams)
9. "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" (with Naturally 7)
10. "To Be Loved"
11. "You've Got a Friend in Me"
12. "Nevertheless (I'm in Love with You)" (featuring The Puppini Sisters)
13. "I Got It Easy"
14. "Young at Heart"
