Purex Crystals Aromatherapy Review

Hi lovelies!  Have you had one of those days, weeks or years when you need a little boost in your energy, your well being or maybe even in your feeling of serenity?!  Well I feel like I've been in need of extra energy for weeks!!  If you are like me you might like to use aromatherapy to help with these needs.  That's why I was so happy to try the new Purex Crystals Aromatherapy.  This new line from Purex comes in 3 scents-Energy, Well Being, and Serenity.  Each one is bursting with a fragrance to help express your mood with an unique aroma.  The Purex Crystals are long lasting crystals infused with citrus and floral scents blended with essential oils.  I tried the Energy product first.  It had a refreshing, clean, citrus scent.  After using it, I am not sure if the scent of my clothes gave me more energy, but I know they put a smile on my face every time I put a piece of clothing near me.  :)  I have loved the other varieties of Purex Crystals that I have tried so I was glad to see them coming out with innovative ideas and scents.

Spellbinders Celebra'tions by Richard Garay

If you enjoy scrapbooking, paper crafts, event hosting, or just being creative this post is for you.  I was sent 2 kits from Spellbinders Celebra'tions by Richard Garay to try via PurexInsiders.   One was a Best Day Ever Treat Bag and the other was a Celebrate Party Hat Card.  My daughter and I love to create things so we were excited to try these out.  All the items that were needed to create each craft were enclosed in a package.  They were all pre-cut and stamped.  The items were a decent quality which was fabulous!  These crafts were fun and easy to do for both my daughter and myself.  I can defintely see us creating cards and gift bags with Spellbinders in the future.

Coopertone Clearly Sheer

Summer is around the corner.  My kiddo is already on summer vacation and it's 90 degrees here!  We have been spending time at the pool.  Of course when going out in the sun you have to wear sunscreen.  I recently got to try the new Coppertone Clearly Sheer!  This sunscreen comes in two varieties-For Beach & Pools and For Sunny Days.  I use the Sunny Days on myself for the pool.  I love the smell and it has an SPF 30.  My daughter uses the spray on version of the For Beach & Pools.  The Clearly Sheer line is new because it won't cause breakouts, leaves skin soft, feels clean and light, and is fast absorbing.  I've used it over the past few days and noticed that I have had no break outs from rubbing greasy sunscreen all in my pores!  Which is awesome when your going in the sun every day.  I really like this new formula and think you will too!  Check it out at stores like Target and Wal-Mart near you!

Purex No Sort Review and Giveaway

I have a confession.....I can be a tad bit lazy!  I know hard to believe but oh so true.  Like sometimes when I do laundry I do not separate lights from whites.  Like I throw pinks in with my white t-shirts kind of lazy.  Now I only do this with older clothes that I won't be totally heartbroken if they have colors run onto them but I still do it because life is crazy busy and sometimes that is the only way.

Purex Crystals Fabulously Fresh review and giveaway

What makes a gloomy day better?  Getting a Purex Insiders package at my front door!  Today I got a package with the new and limited edition Purex Crystals Fabulously Fresh in-wash fragrance booster.  The first thing I noticed was the fun floral packaging.  It adds that touch of Spring we are all looking for!  Then when I opened the purple lid I was wowed by the lovely flowery scent that the tiny green crystals dispelled.  I kept smelling the bottle.  It smells lovely!  I couldn't wait to do laundry to try them out.  I added half a cap full to medium load of laundry.  When I took the wet laundry out I could smell the fabulously fresh smell but not as strongly as I once had.  Then I put the clothes in the dryer and when the buzzer went off I went over to check them out.  When I got close to any of the clothing I can smell a light scent of the fabulously fresh smell.  It was not as strong as I would like but light and fresh.  I am going to try to add a full cap full to my next load to see if I can get a bit of a stronger smell and I'll update to let you know.

Worse treatment from Wal-mart ever for FREE product coupons!

UPDATE 3/19/14
I received a phone call from the newly appointed store manager.  She was very nice and understanding.  I explained the entire story to her and she agreed the cashier should have just scanned the coupons with out embarrassing me. She said being new to the store she was going to work with them on customer service and understanding that without the customers they won't have a job!  Overall I was pleased that she called and listened and agreed with me! 

I know the world is a crazy, insane place.....everyone has battles they are fighting that we may not be privy too so I try to have compassion and understanding for other human beings....unfortunately my treatment at a Wal-mart store yesterday not only tested my compassion and understanding but showed that the workers there have none.  I visited a Wal -Mart while visiting family in Auburn AL.  I had a cart full of groceries.  I had a 12 pack of Diet Coke (my fav) and a Dial Hand Soap which I previously blogged about from my Purex Insiders trials (see previous posts). I had FREE PRODUCT coupons for these items.  These coupons were clearly labeled manufacturer coupons.  They had that foil on them which allows an educated person to see if they are fakes or not.   I had redeemed MYCOKEREWARDS.COM points for 3 free 12 pack coupons recently.  I had used 2 of the coupons in previous weeks at this same Wal-Mart.  So when I got up to my cashier, Sherry, I gave her the coupons for the soap and the coke with the products (trying to make it easier on her).  Well as soon as I gave her the coupons her poor attitude began and she stared at the coke one for what seemed like forever.  Then she says "free with what?!" I said "Huh...nothing...it's free."  I used my coke points for the coupon."  Sherry then says, "Huh I don't know about that." She yells clear across the store for Earl (who I am assuming was the manager of cashiers).  He was busy at the customer service counter and didn't respond.  She then flags down a young cashier walking by and says, "she has these".  I chime in with "I have used these types of coupons here before.  I got them with my coke rewards points."  By this time I was embarrassed and turning red as the line looked annoyed behind me.  Sherry says, "I never heard of coke points!" and I said "Well you should try them some time. They are under each cap of coke and inside of this box." I happened to look at the box and noticed it said "mycokerewards.com" so I pointed it out to her.  The young cashier then says, "Well did you scan them."  Sherry says "No! I wasn't sure about them!" and the younger cashier told her to try them and walked away.  Well she scanned the Dial soap which worked with no problem.  Then she scanned the coke one and it didn't work.  Without trying anything else or getting a manager she told me she couldn't do it.  I told her "I will need a manager then!" She points over to the packed customer service area and Earl who was working behind the counter.  I paid for my purchases and walked over to wait in the customer service line.  By this time I had been in Wal-Mart for an hour and my daughter and I were hungry since it was past lunch time.  After waiting a few minutes I got to Earl and placed the pack and coupon on the counter.  I then say, "Sherry would not do this for me and I am hoping you will."  He doesn't say anything barely looks up but has an aggravated look on his face.  He rings up my pack  and tells me I owe .27 cents for tax.  By this point I was so upset I say, "I hope I am never treated this way again at a Wal-Mart that I am on the verge of tears."  He didn't flinch or say boo!  He then gave me my receipt.  Not an apology, not a word, nothing!!!
I totally understand that a company would, dare I say, be suspicious of a FREE PRODUCT coupon.  But these were not dinky internet printed out coupons.  They were clearly marked "manufacturer" coupons with authentic foil labeling!  The cashier did not even try to scan them before embarrassing and hassling me.  My treatment and the cashiers laziness were clearly not called for.  The "manager on duty" was also useless.  It's basic customer service!    At least apologize for the way I was treated but nothing!!!!
I wanted to let everyone know this b/c it should not of happened to me and has upset me.  I will no longer shop at Wal-Mart.  I am aware my single person boycott will not affect Wal-Mart's bottom line, but it sure will make me feel better! 

Spring Forward

I am so glad spring is near!  I am excited for warmer weather, shorts, flip flops, sun tans (no burns).  It also makes me realize how fast time does go.....it feels like a few days ago I was thinking of New Year's resolutions and now we are 3 months into 2014 and before I know it it will be over and 2015 will be here.  Maybe I am over thinking it but that's what's on my mind right now :)  Let me know what Spring things you are excited for! 

Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap Review and Giveaway

Today I got a package that made me very happy.  Inside the brown box was two new Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soaps!  Yay!!! Just what I needed!  So I anxiously took them out opened them up and let the family have at it!  First thing I will tell you is that this soaps smell fantastic!  I got to try Water Blossoms and Coconut Lime Verbena.  Water Blossoms was my personal favorite because it had a floral scent.  Next I will tell you the package is simple, not too bulky, but bright which makes it look nice on your bathroom or kitchen sink.  Then when I pumped out the soap and added water,  I could feel the micro-scrubbing beads roll around on my hands.  They were comfortable and helped leave my hands smooth after I washed them. Overall I love these Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soaps!  There is one more scent that I didn't get to try Yellow Raspberry & Black Sugar but maybe you will be able to try it and tell me because I am I holding a giveaway for a coupon for a FREE product.  This giveaway is for U.S. residents that are 18 years of age or older.  This will be a quick giveaway because the coupon expires 3/31/14.  Good Luck!

MAC A Fantasy of Flowers Collection Haul

I am a big fan of MAC so I just wanted to blog about my latest MAC haul.  They just came out with A Fantasy of Flowers Collection.  This collection has 34 products including eyeshadows, lipglosses, blushes, fluidlines, and lipsticks.  Mostly everything is a mineralize formula.
I behaved myself and only picked up 4 lipsticks and some blushes.
All the lipsticks in the collection are lustre finishes which are sheerer than some of their other finishes but build-able.  The colors are gorgeous and got me ready for Spring! Colors from l-r--rose lily, snapdragon, heavenly hybrid, dreaming dahlia. They retail for $16.

Then I picked up both blushes.  Top- azalea in the afternoon, bottom- petal power.  Both are use a mineralize formula and give a beautiful color payoff.  They are a bit powdery so be careful with that. They retail for $25.

 

Overall I am very please with the products I picked up.  Now if only spring would come around and pick me up! :)

Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash review and giveaway!

As you might of assumed from some of my posts, I am a little bit over winter.  Don't get me wrong it's a nice time of year but I'm tired of boots, sweat pants, and dry cracked skin.  So I was very pleased when I was able to try the New Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash.  This body wash is infused with lotion and has a new vitamin complex.  The bottle I tried has vitamin B infused in it, which if you didn't know is a natural humectant that helps draw in moisture and keep skin hydrated!  There is also another type that offers vitamin C!  I used it today and loved the smell and how creamy it was.  My skin felt hydrated immediately.  It left me feeling fresh and clean without that dry feeling some body washes do to my skin.

Purex Crystals Fresh Mountain Breeze

Whose tired of winter?  I see you shaking your head yes!  I am with you! So I was overjoyed when I went to do a load of laundry today and got to pour in the New Purex Crystals Fresh Mountain Breeze!  Its a warm and inviting fragrance that reminds me of flowers blooming, birds singing, and gentle warm breezes.....a far cry from this horrible winter we are dealing with :)  I added it to my laundry with the detergent in the washing machine.  It's simple and easy and helps clothes smell fresh for weeks, not days!  I was happy to find out that unlike some fabric softeners it does not reduce the absorbency of towels.  It also has a natural formula that is safe for the environment!
