Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions review

I have been a part of Bzzagent.com for a while now and I love trying new products.  This time I was chosen to be part of a Burt's Bees campaign.  I am always a bit hesitate to try facial products because even though I love trying new products I don't like messing with unknowns on my beautiful face. With that said I got two Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin products to try.  Knowing that these products were for sensitive skin made me feel very comfortable trying them out.  I have a lot of skin conditions such as Rosacea and Psoriasis so I know a bit about having sensitive skin.  I liked that Burt's Bees Natural Skin products contain 99% natural ingredients which provides cleansing and moisturizing without redness or irritation. It is made with cotton extract.   I have been using it every day for at least 2 weeks and I am very happy with the product.  I have had no irritation or redness.  There is virtually no fragrance which is awesome.  My skin feels very clean, soft and supple.  These products can be purchased at many retailers like Target or Wal-mart or Ulta and are very reasonably priced from 9.99-14.99.  I have used a well know drug store moisturizer for years but am happy to say that I am so pleased with my experience with Burt's Bees that I will happily be using these products instead from now ons.  Let me know if you have any questions or if you have tried these products.

Purex Complete with Zout and Crystals Softener

I have been enjoying my summer vacation from work. My family and I have done lots of fun and exciting activities this summer. Today we hit the beach and had a fabulous time. The only thing I hate about a beach day is the clean up afterwards. We had a ton of smelly, dirty towels from our outing and I figured this would be the perfect time to try the Purex Complete with Zout and the Purex Complete Crystals Softener that I got to try thru the Purex Insider.
One load of towels later and I think I'm in love! My towels look great, smelled fresh, and were softer than they have been in a long time! Here are some reasons why I am so impressed with these products
Purex Complete with Zout detergent:
  • Zout-a triple-enzyme stain-fighter! Works as pre-treater and a detergent.
  • Works in ALL washing machines (I hate when a product is for HE only).
  • Great Price and available at many stores including: Walmart, Target, Kroger, and Publix!
  • Free & Clear formula available for sensitive skin (a must in my family) and a Fresh Morning Burst fragrance.

Purex Complete Crystals Softener:

  • 92% natural, not oil-based like other liquid fabric softeners. The traditional oil based softeners coat the fabric and therefore can make fabrics like towels less absorb. (Big plus here!)
  • It's the first major fabric softener that is 100% safe to use on children's sleepwear (A must in my household).
  • Great fragrances (I got to try Fresh Spring Waters and it smells FAB-U-LOUS).
  • EASY-you just add this softener at the beginning of the wash cycle. That's it!

After trying these two products I'm in love with the Purex Complete line and thanks to the Purex Insider I have 1 coupon to give away for a FREE Purex Complete Crystals Softener 28oz bottle. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post about what you find interesting about this Purex Complete line and one person will be selected for the coupon.

Disclaimer: Purex Insider did send me free products to try but the opinions are my own.

Lawry's Marinade

I don't know about you but I love a good BBQ meal! So I was very excited to be chosen from Bzzagent.com to try Lawry's Marinade this summer. I have always enjoyed Lawry's Seasoned Salt on my food but I never had the pleasure to try their marinades. I was sent Balsamic Herb and Original Seasoned Salt Marinade. These are 30 minute marinades which are perfect for me because after a long day at work I'm never quite sure what we will be eating for dinner and it's usually a last minute decision.
I first tried the Original Seasoned Salt Marinade with chicken. I marinaded the chicken for a little over 30 minutes and grilled it indoors on my grill pan. I put the chicken on a roll with lettuce, tomato and bacon. I also topped it off with a mixture of mayo and the extra marinade. Wowsers! It was fantastic! The chicken was very flavorful for being marinaded for only about 30 minutes. Everyone at the table wanted seconds which made me feel very happy.
Next I used the Balsamic Herb to marinade steak. This time I did marinade for more than 2 hours because I a little more time that evening. I once again grilled indoors with my grill pan and cooked the steaks. I made mashed potatoes with extra butter and Lawry's Seasoned Salt and broccoli. Overall this meal with a hit with the family and was easy to make!
Lawry's Marinades are new, quick and flavorful. I would definitely recommend Lawry's Marinades for your summer grilling fun!

Velveeta Cheesy Skillets House Party

I got the pleasure to try Velveeta Cheesy Skillets through House Party. These skillets are awesome!!!! I believe they are much better then the typical hamburger skillets we all grew up eating. It takes about 30 mins to create a great family friendly meal. There are four varieties: chicken and broccoli, ultimate cheeseburger mac, nacho supreme, and zesty bbq chicken. It's hard to pick a favorite because they are all delicious but I liked the ultimate cheeseburger mac and the zesty bbq chicken the best! The Velveeta Cheese really makes these meals outstanding. These dinner kits can be found at Walmart for $1.75. Not too shabby at all. I would highly recommend you pick up and try one of these dinner kits tonight! Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

My personal favorite is 375 Coquette!

Covergirl Lip Perfection Review

Hi there boos! I am so excited this evening because I'm going to review Covergirl Lip Perfection Lip Sticks! First I want to let you know that I am a Bzzagent and that is how I was introduced to the product. Covergirl and Bzzagent were kind enough to send out 2 fabulous product samples 325 Spellbound and 390 Sweetheart. These lipsticks are in the pink family and I immedialtely fell in love. This line promises to give you beautiful color along with more beautiful lips in 7 days. I don't feel like I have dry lips but I was looking forward to see what would happen. I have to say right away I felt that my lips were moisturized and smoother. The lipsticks go on nice and evenly. The colors are very long lasting and very pigmented. Sometimes after you wipe them off your lips they are still stained with the color. I like that but some of you may not. There is a slight vanilla-ish smell from the lipsticks. I don't mind it at all. I actually like it! After using these lipsticks for more than 7 days I can say that my lips are not as dry and more moisturized then they were before. I liked the product so much that I went out and purchased four others with my own money. I will add pictures of swatches to this page. With 44 shades to choose from I would highly recommend you try this product for yourself. I don't think you will be let down.
If you do please let me know what color(s) you choose and your opinion!

It's been a while!

Well I haven't blogged in a while. It has been really quite here and I haven't had a lot to say. Hopefully I will be able to share a little bit more of an interesting day in the life with you soon!
